Homebuying Anxiety, Buyer's Remorse?
Homebuying Anxiety?
As
a first-time homebuyer, it's natural to suffer some anxiety during the
process. Often, first-time buyers will experience what's known as
buyer's remorse.
When it hits, remember why you decided to buy a house
in the first place:
Buying
• Greater stability
• Good investment
• Equity builds
• First home often leads to better home
• Greater individuality in décor/space arrangement
• Sense of security
Renting
• No tax benefit
• No investment in or from the property
• No equity
• Rent payment can increase
• Possibility of eviction
Should you buy or rent? This is a question most of us will likely face in our lives, whether buying a house makes more financial sense than renting a home. To answer that question, ask yourself where you will be in two years.
